Let’s talk products. Some things work and some things don’t.
Let me share some of my zero-fail, favorite go-to store bought potions.
- Go-to facewash
Cetaphil is not just for sensitive skin, but all skin types. The gentleness of it helps keep acne at bay for oily AND dry skin. It’s a no-fail skincare must.
- Go-to glow
Laura Mercier illuminating tinted moisturizer. I can slab this stuff on and walk out the door without my face ever feeling under dressed. It’s worth every penny, and lasts a long time. If you wear minimal make-up, the subtle glitter and flawless cover inside this tube is all you need. If you wear a lot of makeup, wear this underneath your highlighter + powder + bronzer for the perfect, seamless make-up base.
- Go-to shampoo
Shea butter hair products from Fekkai. When I was eighteen, my best friend Georgia (and long-time long-gorgeous-hair goddess) used this shampoo/conditioner, and ran out of the shower freaking out: “That shampoo is the best shampoo I have ever used!” She and I both always needed a little extra moisture for our hair, and this stuff not only gives that, but the most intoxicating, gorgeous smell. Again, worth every (extra) penny… and it’s at Walgreens now!
- Go-to boxed wine
No, it’s not Yellowtail. Pepperwood boxed wine is (Peyton and I think) the best boxed wine (for the price) hands down. It’s not overly sweet, it’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just simple and tasty and good. Try it!
- Go-to fresh
Invest in these baby wipes. They are good for not just your adult bum, but your adult face, your adult hands, your adult armpits in a pinch. Carry them everywhere. Feel better everyday. All natural and free of bad stuffs.
- Go-to get-rid-of-the-smell
Buy sage. Burn it in your bathroom. No-one will ever know what goes on in there, I promise.
I hope this is useful to someone out there!
Excited to see the leaves (kind of) falling,
